Anne grew up in the north-west of England and lives in West Yorkshire where she lives with her son. Anne teaches creative writing at Bolton University and for the Open University. She is Programme Director for NAWE (National Association for Writers in Education), and has also worked as a creative agent for Creative Partnerships in West Yorkshire schools. She has edited and written for a collection of short stories called Some Girls’ Mothers (Route 2009) and is completed an Arts Council supported tour and education programme alongside the other writers featured in this publication. She performs all over the UK, and has won a first collection award from Cinnamon Press for Talking to the Dead, published in Spring 2011.
